Both teams wanting to build Littoral Combat Ships for the Navy have submitted final proposals. Lockheed Martin and Austal USA are competing to have their design selected for at least 51 more LCS ships. Lockheed Martin’s version is being built in Marinetta, Wis., and Austal’s is being built in Mobile, Ala.
