OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. - Researchers from the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory and the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources will present a public briefing on the status of coastal fisheries research at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Caylor Auditorium at GCRL. Topics will include Mississippi’s spotted seatrout population monitoring, cooperative tag and release programs, and efforts relative to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
