MOBILE, Ala. - Oil has been found floating on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico near the site of last year's Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The Press-Register found hundreds of small patches of oily sheen within a mile of the wellhead. Experts say it could be coming from a natural seep, oil trapped in the wreckage of the drilling rig, oil deposited on the bottom during the spill that's making it way to the surface or from the seafloor surrounding the well pipe, which was sealed last year.
