Baker joins NOLA port board

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal appointed New Orleans businessman Arnold Baker to the Port of New Orleans Board of Commissioners. Baker, sworn in April 16 during the board's monthly meeting, will serve a five-year term. He succeeds Daniel Packer as one of four Orleans Parish representatives on the seven-member board that oversees port operations in Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard parishes.
