Gulfport CBs refine training

GULFPORT, Miss. - Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1 Seabees completed the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command Integrated Exercise Oct. 24-28 here at the Naval Construction Battalion Center. NIEX is an exercise in the command's advanced phase of readiness training in preparation for upcoming deployments and focusing on command and control of the battalion while supporting units in an operational environment. NMCB 1 established a maritime operations center in an expeditionary environment with operation planning teams and working groups.
