La. firm garners dredging pact

Mike Hooks LLC of Westlake, La., was awarded a $14,146,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Calcasieu River and Pass maintenance dredging. Bids were solicited via the Internet with seven received. Work will be performed in Glenmora, La., with an estimated completion date of June 7, 2018. FY 2017 Army operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $14,146,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of New Orleans is the contracting activity.
