The first oil supertanker ‘Shaden’, capable of carrying two million barrels of crude, was being loaded in south Louisiana this week, signaling the next phase in America transitioning to becoming a major energy exporter. The Saudi Arabian-flagged tanker was chartered by Shell Oil, according to a report by S&P Global Platts. The ship was due to leave the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port near Cut Off, La., with a cargo of medium sour crude, sources told Platts. Shell declined to comment on the report. (Source:
