Ex-HII official earns corporate VP gig

Huntington Ingalls Industries has promoted Christie Thomas to VP of contracts and pricing at its Newport News (Va.) Shipbuilding Division. She will succeed Tom Johnston, who retires April 1. Thomas will have overall responsibility for contracts, pricing, and export/import licensing and compliance for the shipyard. Thomas joined HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding Division in Pascagoula, Miss., in 2006.
