Cap reattached; Dudley now in charge
BP had to remove a cap that was containing some of the oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico after an underwater robot bumped the venting system. It was reattached late Wednesday, but not before spewing additional oil and gas into the water. Dudley, who grew up in Hattiesburg, Miss., is now the point man in the mission to stop the oil gusher and deal with the economic damage it has caused.
