Halter names Socha senior VP

VT Halter Marine, a shipbuilding subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems, has named Robert A. Socha as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Estimating. In his role of VP, Socha is responsible for overall management and leadership of business development and estimating departments. He brings more than 30 years of executive experience to VTH Marine, including offshore and inland shipbuilding, engineering and construction. Socha previously has worked as Mid-Gulf Shipping of Slidell, La.; Baker Marine Solutions of Covington, La., and Bollinger Shipyards in Louisiana. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University.
