The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) announced new members of its board of directors May 2 at the conclusion of XPONENTIAL 2019, AUVSI’s annual tradeshow/conference in Chicago. Mark Gordon of Stratom Inc. was elected chairman. Among some of the other executive committee members elected to new terms were Suzy Young, exec VP, of the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and Bill Irby, treasurer, of L3 Technologies. Outgoing Chairman Dallas Brooks of Mississippi State University and the ASSURE UAS Center of Excellence in Starkville will continue to serve on the executive committee as immediate past chairman. “This year we are welcoming more representatives from the unmanned ground and maritime communities to the AUVSI board of directors,” said Brian Wynne, AUVSI president/CEO.
