Pierce to engineering lead at Bollinger

 LOCKPORT, La. - Bollinger Shipyards announced Sept. 5 the promotion of Christian Pierce to director of engineering. He will lead the engineering department in all facets of engineering on both government and commercial programs; and is responsible for the execution of functional and design engineering compliant with customer requirements. Since joining Bollinger in 2017, Pierce has held positions of lead engineer and engineering manager in which he was responsible for supervising and directing the naval architecture, marine, electrical, electronics, and outfitting engineering disciplines in execution of the company’s design programs. Pierce has more than 20 years of shipyard experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Bollinger Shipyards is a leading designer/builder of fast military patrol boats, ocean-going double hull barges, offshore oil field support vessels, tug boats, rigs, lift boats, inland waterways push boats, barges, and other steel and aluminum products from its new construction shipyards. Bollinger has 10 shipyards strategically located throughout Louisiana with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. It is also the largest vessel repair company in the Gulf of Mexico region.
