New GoM player: M2 Subsea

A newly formed subsea services business based in Texas has secured a private equity investment to acquire a fleet of 32 remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). M² Subsea Limited has attracted investments from a fund advised by Alchemy Special Opportunities, and is now set to become one of the largest independent providers of ROV services globally; and offer customer solutions for inspection, repair, maintenance, decommissioning and light construction. M² Subsea expects to create up to 50 onshore and 100 offshore jobs operating primarily in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, West Africa; and in the Asia Pacific and Middle-Eastern regions by the end of 2017.
