Austal order award: $12.2M

Austal USA of Mobile, Ala., is being awarded $12,283,922 for cost-plus-award-fee delivery order 7F18 against a previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00024-15-G-2304) to provide engineering and management services for advance planning and design in support of the post shakedown availability for the Littoral Combat Ship USS Omaha (LCS-12). Work will be performed in Mobile (75%); and San Diego (25%). It is expected to be completed by August 2018. FY 2017 Navy shipbuilding and conversion funding in the amount of $7,537,555; and FY 2012 Navy shipbuilding and conversion funding in the amount of $3,230,381 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire Sept. 30, 2017.
