HII's $9.9M mod pact for DDG 114

Huntington Ingalls Industries' (HII) shipbuilding division at Pascagoula, Miss., was awarded a $9,920,893 cost-plus award-fee order against a previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00024-16-G-2303) to provide program management, advanced planning, engineering, design, material procurement/kitting, liaison, scheduling, and participation in planning conferences and design reviews in support of the post shakedown availability for DDG 114. Work will be performed in Pascagoula (75%); and Everett, Wash. (25%), and is expected to be completed by January 2019. FY 2017 Navy shipbuilding and conversion funding in the amount of $9,920,893 was obligated at the time of award, and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
