La. marine firm: $9.3M pact

Alpha Marine Services of Galliano, La., is awarded $9,323,925 under previously awarded contract (N3220517C3505) to exercise Option 1 for vessel performing towing and salvage for the Navy. The contract includes a firm period of one-year with options for two additional one-year periods. If all options are exercised the value of the contract will be $27,930,965. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va.; and the Atlantic Ocean, and is expected to be completed by January 2019. Working capital funds in the amount of $9,323,925 are being obligated at the time of award. Funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 50 plus proposals solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with two offers received.
