McDonough buys 23 Gray barges

McDonough Marine Service announced the acquisition of 23 barges from Houma, La.-based J.R. Gray Inc. in an all-cash buyout. The purchase is comprised of 14 power winch spud barges. “The purchase of this portion of the J.R. Gray assets is a great supplement to McDonough’s more than 600 barge fleet,” Pat Stant, McDonough president, said in a prepared statement. “The purchase of this portion of the J.R.
