CG medevacs male off PC coast

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medically-evacuated a 48-year-old male from a charter fishing boat about 20 miles offshore of Panama City, Fla., in the afternoon of Aug. 10. Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Ala., received a report at 12:05 p.m. of the man experiencing symptoms of heat stroke aboard the fishing boat. The CG launched a 45-Foot Response Boat-Medium and crew from CG Station Panama City, Fla., to medevac the man. The boat crew arrived at 1:05 p.m. and transported the male to emergency medical services at Panama City Marina where he was transported to Bay Medical Sacred Heart in Panama City.
