BILOXI, Miss. - Northrop Grumman received a five-year tax exemption Monday for a $16 million improvement project at the company's Gulfport operation. Harrison County supervisors voted 2-1 to grant the property tax break on equipment purchased for the facility. In a statement, Northrop Grumman officials said they purchased a new bridge crane and mold table used in the fabrication of composite structures. The Gulfport facility employs about 550, including 146 whose jobs were created by the purchases. (Source:
