Well cap test delayed

A test to see if the Gulf of Mexico oil spill can be stopped with a cap placed over the well has been delayed to allow experts more time to review its safety and effectiveness. The test was expected Tuesday but the delay of at least 24 hours will allow for further analysis. Federal officials are concerned that closing the cap valves now letting oil and gas escape through the top might cause leaks elsewhere along the line.
