VT Halter Marine chief retires

PASCAGOULA, Miss. -- Bill Skinner has decided to retire after two decades at VT Halter Marine. Skinner's career in shipbuilding spanned 46 years. Jack Prendergast was named as the CEO and new president by the board of directors. Prendergast spent three decades in the Navy and rose to the rank of rear admiral.
