HII earns LHA 8 contract

Huntington Ingalls Inc. of Pascagoula, Miss., was awarded a $272,467,161 contract for the planning, advanced engineering, and procurement of long lead time material in support of one amphibious assault ship (LHA 8). The contract includes options. Forty-four percent of the work will be performed in Pascagoula. Work is expected to be completed by June 2017.
