Join DISL for oceans’ day

Join he Dauphin Island (Ala.) Sea Lab for World Oceans’ Day (June 8) to learn about how to be a protector of the environment. World Oceans Day 2018 will focus on preventing plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean. On June 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the DISL team will show to help improve the health of oceans by understanding the watershed, micro-plastics, and marine debris. Families with children ages 5-to-8 are invited to reserve a spot to continue the lesson with ‘Discovery Hall Programs Oceans Alive!’ day camp. The half-day adventure combines arts and crafts with a beach walk. Lessons in marine biology, ecology and zoology are introduced in hands-on activities.
