Chem company suing La. parish

Jefferson Parish, La., is facing a lawsuit after its Parish council pulled a permit last week for Cornerstone Chemical Co. to build a $100M hydrogen cyanide plant in Waggaman, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River. The council had backed the project, until strong opposition - especially via a public Facebook page was established to inform residents of potential negatives - came from both sides of the river.
