Judge: No US port calls for Carnval

MIAMI - U.S. District Judge Patricia Seitz has threatened to temporarily block Carnival Corp. from docking cruise ships at ports in the United States as punishment for a possible probation violation. Carnival was placed on five-year probation in 2017 as part of a $40M settlement for illegally dumping oil at sea from its Princess Cruises’ ships and lying about the scheme, according to court filings. The Miami Herald reported that Judge Seitz will make a decision in June. Carnival Corporation has nine cruise brands and 102 ships.
