The U.S. State Department has OK’d TransCanada's presidential permit for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which had been blocked by Obama Administration. Keystone XL is to connect tar sands operations in Alberta with an American pipeline network running all the way to the Gulf of Mexico that allows Canadian oil firms to transport up to 800,000 bpd of crude to Gulf Coast refiners and export terminals.
