CG helo locates stranded trio

NEW ORLEANS – Coast Guard New Orleans launched a special purpose shallow water craft and MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to assist the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in response to a vessel taking on water, with three people aboard, near Bayou Bienvenue, La., on April 20. The helicopter crew located the three people standing in a marshy area of Third Island Bayou near Lake Borgne. Members of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries rescued the three survivors. They were transported to the Eddie Pinto boat launch in New Orleans in stable condition.
