NW Fla. fish hatchery moving forward

An estimated $19 million fish hatchery may be ready for public consumption by late 2018 in downtown Pensacola, Fla. The Florida Gulf Coast Marine Fisheries Hatchery Enhancement Center is being designed for a research and education center, which is also expected to produce an estimated five million saltwater sport fish each year for release along the Gulf Coast.
