3 maritime deaths in SE La.

A Metairie, La., man died early July 31 when he hit his head on a piling while boating at a high rate of speed near Grand Isle, agents with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries. It was the third death on southeast Louisiana waters Sunday. A 5-year-old Houma boy drowned after he and his father jumped from a boat on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway when they feared being struck by a tugboat about 7 a.m. Sunday.
