Danos joins DHS maritime committee

April Danos, director of information technology for the Greater Lafourche (La.) Port Commission, has been appointed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to the National Maritime Security Advisory Committee for a three-year term. The committee provides advice to the secretary via the commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard on national security strategy and policy. The committee also works with representatives of the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, FEMA, and the Transportation Security Administration and other federal agencies.
