Gulf Stream earns safety award

HOUSTON - Gulf Stream Marine Inc. has received Signal Mutual’s Gerald H. Halpin Safety Excellence Award that recognizes an industry leader in anchoring safety and health as core values and commitment to the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses, in addition to promoting wellness and safety off the job and in the community. The Halpin award is only given to a company that has exemplified the highest levels of safety and health standards. Gulf Stream Marine is the largest non-union stevedore and marine terminal operator on the Gulf Coast. It is based primarily in south Texas with an operation at the Port of Lake Charles, La.
