CG cutter’s NOLA commissioning

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard will hold a commissioning ceremony for the Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal in New Orleans at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. The Sentinel-class fast response cutter is homeported in Pascagoula, Miss., but will operate throughout the Coast Guard’s Eighth District. The FRC was built by Louisiana’s Bollinger Shipyards.
