PASCAGOULA, Miss. -- Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. received a nearly $500 million contract to build an eighth National Security Cutter (NSC-8) for the U.S. Coast Guard at its Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula. U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, announced the award Friday.
