Vitter: ‘Port Person of Year’

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) and Mexico’s general coordinator of ports Guillermo Ruiz de Teresa were selected to receive the American Association of Port Authorities’ (AAPA) 2015 ‘Port Person of the Year’ award. The selections were primarily based on their adept leadership toward the seaport and freight movement industry. Rep. Vitter has been a member of Congress for more than 15 years. He currently serves as chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
