PASCAGOULA, Miss. - The giant gypsum stacks with the hundreds of millions of gallons of acid water they create became a Superfund site in December, the EPA said it would move fast to begin a clean-up. Next week, EPA will begin that clean-up plan for a major part of the Mississippi Phosphates site. The aim is to stop mountains of industrial waste and acid waters from flowing directly into the Mississippi Sound. (Source:
