South Ala. firm's sub contract: $14M

International Marine and Industrial Applicators of Spanish Fort, Ala., is awarded a $14,152,760 firm-fixed-price contract for the accomplishment of preservation and non-SUBSAFE structural repairs and maintenance on USS Louisiana (SSBN 743). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $14,495,622. The work to be performed on this contract will support main ballast tank, superstructure, sail, recesses, sonar dome, interior and external hull to include commercial blast, non-SUBSAFE structural repairs and preservation. The contractor shall furnish the necessary management, material support services, labor, supplies and equipment deemed necessary to perform the work. Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 2020. FY 2019 Navy operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $14,152,760 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with two offers received.
