Prez nom to MS district court
President Donald J. Trump announced June 15 his intent to nominate Taylor B. McNeel of Mississippi to serve as judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. McNeel is a member of the Biloxi, Miss.-based law firm of Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes, where he focuses on complex commercial litigation and as the partner in charge of the Mississippi Gulf Coast office. McNeel earned his BBA, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served on the Mississippi Law Journal. Also on June 15, President Trump announced his intent to nominate the following individuals to a key position in his administration: * Michael Wynne of Florida to be a member of the Board of Visitors to the United States Air Force Academy. He previously served as the 21st Secretary of the AF until asked to resign by the Defense Secretary. * Steven D. Poulin of Florida to be Joint Task Force East Director, Department of Homeland Security. Poulin served as Special Adviser for Border and Transportation Security in the Office of Vice President Dick Cheney from 2005-07. While in the Coast Guard, from April 2009 to July 2010, he was the Commander of Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Ala., where he directed Coast Guard operations in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. He further served as the Incident Commander for Deepwater Horizon oil spill response operations. His previous operational tours included Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Sector Mobile; Law Enforcement Officer and Assistant Operations Officer at Coast Guard Group Mobile; and was assigned as a Deck Watch Officer on the Coast Guard Cutter Dauntless, now homeported at NAS Pensacola, Fla.
